This is to inform all prospective candidates that the 2022/2023 Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) results have been officially released.
The Board has approved the release of the 2023 JUPEB results. The results and certificates will be dispatched to all JUPEB examination centres nationwide.
The result being released are the results of candidates who participated in the JUPEB examination conducted from Monday, 31st July 2023, to Friday, 11th August 2023, for the 2022/2023 session.

A. JUPEB STATEMENTS OF RESULTS
JUPEB results are released to the university centres and candidates are to collect their statement of results from their university centres.

To check JUPEB results online, candidates are expected to have the following information handy before visiting the link below to retrieve your result:
1. Candidate Examination Number
2. Candidate Surname.
C. STEPS TO CHECK YOUR JUPEB RESULT ONLINE
1. Visit the JUPEB result-checking portal at https://jupeb.edu.ng/portal/portal
2. Enter your ‘Examination Number’ and ‘Surname’ in the appropriate columns.
3. Finally, click on the ‘Submit’ button to access your JUPEB result.
NOTE: JUPEB result certificates are dispatched to study centres where the lectures were conducted. Candidates who participated in the examination are required to visit their various study centres to collect their statement of results through their programme coordinator.

JUPEB point grades from A – E are considered as pass grades while grade ‘F’ is considered a fail grade. The total grade point for a candidate is the sum total of the three A-level subjects offered.
Candidates are entitled to a bonus of one (1) point if they pass all three A-level subjects with at least an ‘E’ grade.

NOTE: A bonus point is awarded to the point scored by every candidate provided he or she did not score (F) in any of the subjects offered during the programme. (Also See: Subject Combinations).
Therefore, a student with the grades above can boast of 13 points in his/her JUPEB examination which is enough to study any course at his/her choice university.

Is the JUPEB result accepted in universities outside Nigeria?
Yes, the JUPEB result is accepted in universities outside Nigeria.
How are the JUPEB examination results graded?
A= 5 points, B= 4 points, C= 3 points, D= 2 points, E= 1 point, F= 0 point (failed grade). 1 additional point is added when a candidate scores A, B, C, D or E in all three subjects e.g., a candidate with B, D, and C has 10 points.
Can my JUPEB result be sent to other institutions?

How long can I use the JUPEB result for admission?
The JUPEB result is tenable within (3) three admission years i.e., if the examination is written in 20X0, it is usable for 20X0, 20XI & 20X2. However, the JUPEB certificate remains a valid document for a lifetime.
When the JUPEB examination result is out, will it be sent to the candidate?
Results are released to the university centres and candidates are to collect their statement of results from their university centres.
Does JUPEB give transcripts?
No, JUPEB only gives certificates.
