This is to inform all the candidates attempting the National Examinations Council (NECO) June/July Senior School Certificate Examination (Internal) that the 2026 NECO examination timetable is out.
The NECO 2026 timetable is the most valuable asset for all the candidates preparing for the June/July SSCE. It allows candidates to know exactly when a specific subject is scheduled.
2026 NECO Exam Date
According to the NECO 2025 Timetable, the examination has been scheduled to take off on Monday, 15th June 2026, and ends on Thursday, 23rd July 2026.

Schools and Candidates Should Note the Following:
1. It is mandatory that each candidate has a photocard for identification during the examination.
2. Where the time on the question paper differs from the time on this timetable, the time on the question paper should be strictly adhered to.
3. For Physical Education Practical Paper I; French, Music, and Arabic Paper IV, the specific venues for the examination should be confirmed from the NECO State Offices.
4. Practicals in Sciences and Computer Studies can be in sets where the number of candidates is large and the equipment cannot go round.
5. Visual Arts Paper IV [Creative Design] should be given to candidates at least one week before the examination date.
6. Nigerian Languages (Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba) include Literature aspect.
7. Albinos and blind candidates are to be allowed 30 extra minutes at the end of each subject.
8. Blind candidates must make use of the NECO supplied OBR customised Braille sheet for the examination.
9. Use of a scientific calculator is allowed.
10. Bringing into the examination hall electronic communication gadgets (programmable calculators, mobile phones, iPads, tablets, smart wrist watches, glasses, pens, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
11. Candidates who do not sit for practicals (Paper 1) will not have a result in the subject.
12. Candidates should note that the trade subjects questions are hybrid in nature.
