The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of school candidates, who sat the 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination.
All candidates who participated in the examination can proceed now to check their results on the official NECO result-checking portal.
How to Check NECO Results Online
Candidates will need to purchase a Token/pin to access their results. Click Here to Purchase it.
1. Visit the NECO 2023 result-checking portal at https://results.neco.gov.ng/
2. Pick your exam year. i.e. 2023
3. Pick your exam type. i.e. SSCE INTERNAL (JUN/JUL)
4. Enter your Token Number and Registration Number in the appropriate columns.
5. Finally, click on the ‘Check Result’ button to access your NECO result.

What is a Token?
A token works like a scratch card, it is used to check results when they are released by NECO. Please note that NECO no longer uses scratch cards to check results, you can only use a token to check the result.
The result checker token has replaced the formally used scratch cards for checking results and these tokens are to be purchased on the NECO Results portal via online or bank payment. These tokens can be shared with candidates, parents, schools, organizations, or any other individual who wishes to view a candidate’s results.
Where can I buy a NECO Token?

How many times can I check my result?
You may check your results up to a maximum of 5 (five) times with the use of 1 (one) Token. To check further after exhausting the allowed 5 (five) times you will need to purchase another Token which will entitle you to another 5 (five) result checks. Can I use one Token to check more than one result?
No! You may only use one Token to check one result. To check another result of interest, you will require a new Token. If you misuse a Token by attempting to check another result different from the first one checked, you will be penalized as having used the card and will be presented with the appropriate error message.
I have been trying to check my result by the NECO webpage is not loading, what do I do?
Please be informed that it could either be your internet connection that is not connecting properly or as a result of the high traffic to the result checking site. We advise you to give it some time before trying again at https://results.neco.gov.ng/.
I went to the NECO portal and filled in the required details only to see a page telling me the Candidate record was not found under this Exam. Please what do I do?
Are you trying to check any of the NECO Exams’ results and you’re encountering the error message, “Candidate record not found under this exam”? There’s no need to panic, as this error occurs when the registration/exam number inputted is incorrect or the wrong Exam Type is selected.
What you must do is input the correct registration/exam number or select the correct Exam Type then try again.
If you’re not sure of the authenticity of your registration number, you can use your exam details to request your registration number by writing an email to [email protected] and your registration number will be retrieved.
Can the result checker token bought in the previous year be used to check the result of the current year?
A result checker token purchased in a previous year is still valid for use in the next year but note you can only use one Token to check one result. To check another (different) result, you will require a new Token.
I have been trying to check my result, but I keep having problems with my registration number, I’m informed that my number is incorrect. What do I do about this?
