The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the breakdown of approved fees for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) registrations.
The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), conducted by JAMB, is a uniform entry-level examination for candidates seeking tertiary education While the Direct Entry (DE) is for candidates who already possess a diploma certificate and wish to apply for a degree programme in the university.
Types and Categories of e-PINs for 2026 JAMB Registration
There are three categories of e-PINs available for the 2026 UTME and Direct Entry (DE) registration:
1. Direct Entry (DE) Registration e-PIN – This is for candidates applying through the Direct Entry route.
2. UTME Registration e-PIN (WITHOUT Mock) – This is for candidates registering for the UTME without opting for the Mock Examination.
3. UTME Registration e-PIN (WITH Mock) – This is for candidates registering for the UTME and opting to take the Mock Examination.
Applicants are advised to purchase their e-PINs based on their specific needs and financial capability.
JAMB Registration Fee for 2026
The breakdown of all approved fees is as follows:
1. UTME/Direct Entry (DE) Application fee (reduced since 2018) – ₦3,500.
2. Other Charges:
i. Reading Text-book – ₦1,000
ii. CBT Centre Registration service Charge – ₦700
iii. CBT Centre Service Charge for UTME – ₦1,500
iv. Bank Charges – ₦500
v. CBT Centre Service Charge for Mock UTME (Optional) – ₦1,500

Important Notice to Candidates
1. Candidate will not pay any money as Service Charge to any CBT Centre
2. Breakdown of payments will be printed on the pin vending receipt and on Registration Slip
3. Consequently, every candidate pays as follows:
i. UTME Candidate NOT sitting for MOCK examination – ₦7,200
ii. UTME Candidate sitting for MOCK examination – ₦8,700
iii. Direct Entry (DE) Candidate – ₦5,700.
