2023 JAMB UTME/Direct Entry Registration and Examination Date

This is to inform the general public that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the date for the commencement of the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) registrations.

The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), conducted by JAMB, is a uniform entry-level examination for candidates seeking tertiary education.

2023 JAMB Form Registration Date

According to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), registration for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will commence from Saturday, January 14, 2023, to Wednesday, February 22, 2023. UTME PIN vending also ends on Monday, February 20, 2023.

The Direct Entry registration will commence on Monday, 20th March 2023 and end on Tuesday, 30th May 2023. Direct Entry PIN vending also ends on Saturday, 26th May 2023.

Candidates desiring to register for the Direct Entry exercise are directed to ensure that they obtain their Direct Entry ePINs from designated vending outlets on or before Saturday, 26th May 2023, when ePIN vending would be closed.

Direct Entry candidates are then expected to proceed to the Board’s offices from Saturday, 6th April 2023, to Tuesday, 30th May 2023, to complete their registration procedure.

All candidates who desire to register for the 2023 UTME to immediately embark on creating their respective profiles (creation of profile code) ahead of the formal commencement of the registration exercise to avoid being caught up in any next bottleneck.

Candidates are to note that they would be required to pay the sum of N1,000 service charge for the Computer-Based Test centres for the conduct of mock examination at the point of registration to prevent a situation where candidates would indicate their interest to sit the mock-UTME leading the various centres to commit human and material resources only for them to stay away on the day of the examination.

Please note that registration can only be performed only by JAMB-accredited centres and JAMB State-Offices. For your safety, don’t patronize any Cybercafé or computer centres other than the ones published by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

2023 JAMB Examination Date

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed Tuesday, 25th April 2023, for the conduct of the 2023 UTME which is expected to end on Tuesday, 2nd May 2023.

The board also fixed Thursday, 30th March 2023, for the conduct of its optional mock UTME.

Due to technical hitches, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has rescheduled the UTME Mock examination to hold on Tuesday, 18th April 2023 for affected candidates.

2023 JAMB UTME General Entry Requirements

The general entry requirements for admission into the First Degree, National Diploma (ND), National Innovation Diploma (NID) and Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes in Universities, other degree-awarding Institutions, Monotechnics, Polytechnics, Innovation Enterprise Institutions and Colleges of Education are five (5) O’Level Credit passes including Mathematics and English Language.
