LATEST UPDATE: This is to inform all candidates who chose LAUTECH as their first choice of institution in the 2022/2023 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) that it is mandatory for them to apply for admission to various programs in the university through the admission portal of the university, i.e., “apply.lautech.edu.ng”. This is a pre-condition for candidates to be captured on the online electronic screening platform of the university. Candidates need to comply with the above directive in order to be able to capture their results for the purpose of being assessed for the admission exercise.
However, candidates who participated in the LAUTECH pre-degree and JUPEB programs are exempted from this directive. Direct Entry (DE) candidates are also to note that their oral interview will hold as earlier scheduled for December 12 and 13, 2022.
Results of the electronic screening will be made available immediately after the close of registration on Thursday, 3rd November 2022, on candidates’ application portals for their information and downloading.
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into various degree programmes of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso for the 2022/2023 Academic Session.
LAUTECH Post UTME Screening Eligibility
1. For a candidate to be eligible for the exercise, he or she must have scored 170 marks and above in the 2022/2023 UTME.
RECOMMENDED: LAUTECH Departmental Cut-off Marks
2. LAUTECH will admit only candidates who passed at credit level in at least five (5) relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings in SSCE/ NECO/ NABTEB for UTME, while the University accepts a minimum of Upper Credit for National Diploma candidates, NCE, HND, RNS and JUPEB for Direct Entry candidates with five (5) credit passes in SSCE/ NECO/ NABTEB in relevant subjects.
3. However, candidates who wish to study Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Biochemistry, Physiology and Anatomy must have passed at credit level in at least five (5) relevant subjects in one sitting to be qualified for admission.
4. Applicants should be at least sixteen (16) years of age to qualify for admission to any programme in the university.
5. Candidates should carefully study the University Brochure as provided on the University website to guide them in the completion of their application forms.
How to Apply for LAUTECH Post UTME Form
The Post UTME application forms will be available online for completion and submission from Monday, 19th September to Wednesday, 30th November 2022.
1. Applicants are to proceed to the admission website at https://apply.lautech.edu.ng/ of the University www.apply.lautech.edu.ng to make payment of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only for the purpose of online registration for the screening exercise using Inter-Switch Enabled Debit Card (ATM) as well as familiarize themselves with the available programmes in the University and the entry requirements for O’Level, A’Level and UTME subject combination for each of the programmes so indicated.
2. Applicants are expected to carefully complete and submit the online application forms having uploaded a clear digital copy of their passport photographs on white background which must be in JPEG and must not be more than 20kb.
3. Any applicant with a blurred picture on the acknowledgement page will not be admitted into the screening centre as the photograph will be used as a means of identification. The COLOUR PRINT OUT acknowledgement page should be presented by all candidates at the screening venue before admittance to participate in the exercise. Candidates should note that satisfaction with this requirement is mandatory. For ease of communication, applicants are to provide valid and active e-mail addresses and phone numbers.
4. Applicants who are awaiting results of NABTEB, NECO, and WASC are also eligible to apply. However, the results when released must be uploaded on JAMB CAPS two (2) weeks after the release of such results. Results uploaded after the prescribed timeline may not be accepted. Also, inconsistency in names on any results 2 and state of origin shall not be acceptable to the University and may lead to disqualification. Candidates’ names on their O’Level results, other registration documents, as well as state of origin must be the same.
5. Any applicant who fails to present himself/herself for the CBT and oral interview for UTME and Direct Entry candidates respectively as scheduled will automatically forfeit being considered for admission. The use of cell phones and any unauthorized devices are not allowed in the post UTME CBT halls.
LAUTECH Post UTME Screening Schedule
Candidates are hereby informed that the admission screening exercise for UTME candidates will now be done electronically. The UTME scores and the O’ Level results of candidates will be assessed and used for scoring candidates after the close of the post-UTME registration application.
Results of the screening will then be made available on candidates’ application portals for their information and downloading.
How to Apply for LAUTECH Direct Entry Form
The Direct Entry application forms will be available online for completion and submission from Monday, 19th September to Wednesday, 30th November 2022.
1. Direct Entry applicants including those on the LAUTECH JUPEB programme or other Institutions’ JUPEB programmes, who wish to be considered for admission for the 2022/2023 academic session must have obtained Direct Entry forms from JAMB to be eligible for the oral screening interview.
2. Direct Entry applicants are expected to forward their academic transcripts to the Registrar, the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso no later than Monday, 30th November 2022.
3. Direct Entry applicants are to please visit the admission portal of the University at https://apply.lautech.edu.ng/ to make payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Three Hundred Naira (N10,300.00) only for online registration for the screening and result checking, using inter-switch enabled debit cards (ATM).
4. Carefully complete and submit online the application form while ensuring strict compliance with the admission requirements of the university before applying for any of its programmes.
5. Upload a digital copy of a scanned passport photograph with white background of not more than 20kb which must be in JPEG (i.e. jpg) with no eyeglasses or veil.
6. Print out the acknowledgement page to ascertain successful registration.
LAUTECH Direct Entry Oral Interview Screening Schedule
Direct Entry applicants including those on the LAUTECH JUPEB programme or other Institutions’ JUPEB programmes, who wish to be considered for admission for the 2022/2023 academic session must have obtained Direct Entry forms from JAMB to be eligible for the oral screening interview scheduled to hold on Monday, 12th December and Tuesday, 13th December 2022 at “The Hall”, venue of the screening exercise. However, candidates are expected to forward their academic transcripts to the Registrar, the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso no later than Monday, 30th November 30, 2022.
Consequently, application forms will be available online for completion and submission from Monday, 19th September to Wednesday, 30th November 2022. Applicants are to note that before admission can be offered by the university, they must have uploaded their O’Level results on CAPS and once admission is offered, the candidates must either accept or reject the offer on CAPS before JAMB’s closure of CAPS for the session in order to be on JAMB National Matriculation list.
General Information
1. Candidates who provide false information to secure admission to any of the University programmes and upon discovery at any point in time will be handed over to law enforcement agencies for prosecution and the admission of such candidates shall be withdrawn.
